Firstly on behalf of Umno.the National front, and the Government and the people of Malaysia, I would like to extend our heartiest congratulation to tyour elecyion as the Prime Minister of your country.Though a bit belated, we wish you success in all your present and future endeavours.
As you might well be aware, my Foreign Minister, Mr Syed Abdul Hamid Albar, at the next session United Nation General Meeting in Ney York in September. It is my sincere hope, a meeeting can be arranged with his counterpart, Mr. David Levi , to discuss on some fund raising for may party in facing the oncoming general election in Malaysia . We believe through you good office, we can get in touch with the ‘Clinton Fund’ for the purpose of withstanding the onslaught of Islamic Fundementalist in Malaysia.
It maybe premature but may I commit our perpetual stand to honour the agreement made in 1995 to allow the unlimited use of our military bases by the US Army at any time in return for this financial aid tp our cause. Your kind support in conveying this message to RT Hon. Mrs Madeline Albright is highly appreciated.
It is also my hope that a new approach will he designed to enabale the establishment of diplomatic relations Tel Aviv, although I have to convince my fellow colleagues in the government and our people avcid unnecessary backlash . All along we appreciate the work by the the US State Department in this regard.
